Anyway I decided to go this year mainly to take pictures... to remind me of the faire, and share it with others. This was the biggest crowd I can ever recall seeing at the fest - probably a combination of it being a Saturday and also nice weather (mid-70's here lately). Next time I'll have to go on a Sunday - I think there tends to be fewer folks there in the mornings on Sundays, because lotsa folks go to church or mebbe they're hungover from Saturday night or mebbe they just don't like to go because the fest doesn't serve alcohol before noon on Sundays.
It's quite a haul from where I live - a good 2 hour drive, each way. And I'm not exactly great at walking all over timbuktu, so only stayed at the faire this year for 4 hours - after which I felt my feet had been walked off, and I was ready to go. But it was a fun time. I always enjoy looking in the shops; I even found a very cool glass dragon this year (and brought him home with me). I had the traditional turkey leg, and a baked apple "dumpling" with ice cream that was really yummy. I enjoyed the music (heard while walking through) - especially the hammered dulcimer stuff (saw at least two groups doing that). And love the gardens - lotsa lovely flowers there.
Well, anyway, enough blathering. Here are the pictures. I've divided them into categories - click the thumbnails below for more pix.
